I’m a Decorator, a Design Devotee and a Disciple of Beauty.
Born in Saudi Arabia to cosmopolitan parents, I was constantly introduced to interesting new cultures and different surroundings. Thus my journey with design began at an early age. These experiences not only instilled in me a deep appreciation for the multiple facets of beauty, but also ultimately influenced my sense of style.
While attending New York School of Interior Design, I was fortunate to obtain a much sought-after internship with the French interior designer and antique dealer, Jean-Paul Beaujard. A Madeleine Castaing devotee, Jean-Paul re-introduced me to a world of design, defined by the European aesthetic of refined luxury. Subsequently, over the next eight years, as Assistant Designer, I would spend time on assignments in Connecticut, the Hamptons and Manhattan. Residing in New York City had a huge impact on my awareness of design.
Returning to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2002, and co-founding Ashfield Hansen Design, I ultimately established my personal interior design and decoration studio in 2013. The joys I absorb in daily connection with people, travel and my career, plus the never-ending possibilities of life continue to inspire…
My journey with design continues.
